Author a 2-3 page paper (excluding title and references pages) in APA 6th ed. formatting. This includes a cover page, in-text citations, headings, and a reference page. Please use credible sources, which may include government websites, book chapter, or preferably peer-reviewed articles to strengthen your topic points. Expand on this week’s discussion posts by reflecting on the synergy of your Myer’s-Briggs, CliftonStrengths 34® and Builder Profile®. Consider looking deeper and offering more examples to illustrate how you may be uniquely created to lead a team to deliver on the New Product or Service idea.
The DNA of the Team: Team Strengths Grid Instructions
People need a way to make sense of their individual talents within the context of the whole team. The Team Strengths Grid gives team members a way to visualize their collective talents, strengths, and opportunities in a snapshot view. Use the Team Strengths Grid to spark discussion and discovery. A Team Strengths Grid can help people start to understand and appreciate why their colleagues say, do, and feel certain things. As awareness grows, their individual and collective application of their unique talents will too. The ultimate goal is to help the team use this information to achieve the specific performance challenge(s). As you work with the team, be sure to comment on, ask questions about, and/or highlight insights you glean from the Team Strengths Grid. Follow the instructions below to create a Team Strengths Grid: Click on the Team Strengths Grid tab at the bottom of this Excel spreadsheet. 1. List each team member's name in Column A. Consider placing the manager's name in the top row, followed by the team members' names in alphabetical order. 2. Enter each team member's top five themes into the corresponding boxes across the grid using numbers 1 through 5. (For example, if Sangeeta has the following Signature Themes — (1) Woo, (2) Communication, (3) Positivity, (4) Individualization, and (5) Strategic — you would enter in a 1 in the box under Woo, 2 in the box under Communication, and so on. (See the example of this on the Team Strengths Grid, next to where it says "Name" on row 3.) 3. As you enter each team member's top five on the grid, you will notice that the boxes turn red once you put in a number between one and five. If you make a mistake or need to change an entry, simply go to the field you want to change and hit your space bar to erase the previous entry that you made. 4. Enter the top five themes for each team member. 5. After finishing, print and save a copy of the Team Strengths Grid. Transformational coaching leads people to an opening for understanding and action. Use this information to lead a discussion about the team's individual and collective strengths. You can help team members see themselves and others from a different perspective. The grid provides a new point of reference for team members to view their work, each other, and the world around them. Copyright © 2000, 2013 Gallup, Inc. All rights reserved.

|EXECUTING||INFLUENCING||RELATIONSHIP BUILDING||STRATEGIC THINKING|
|Leaders with dominant strength in the Executing domain know how to make things happen. When you need someone to implement a solution, these are the people who will work tirelessly to get it done. Leaders with a strength to execute have the ability to “catch” an idea and make it a reality.||Those who lead by Influencing help their team reach a much broader audience. People with strength in this domain are always selling the team’s ideas inside and outside the organization. When you need someone to take charge, speak up, and make sure your group is heard, look to someone with the strength to influence.||Those who lead through Relationship Building are the essential glue that holds a team together. Without these strengths on a team, in many cases, the group is simply a composite of individuals. In contrast, leaders with exceptional Relationship Building strength have the unique ability to create groups and organizations that are much greater than the sum of their parts.||Leaders with great Strategic Thinking strengths are the ones who keep us all focused on what could be. They are constantly absorbing and analyzing information and helping the team make better decisions. People with strength in this domain continually stretch our thinking for the future.|
